Rev Ty Harrison, Pastor
Pastor Ty, and a few others, started River of Life Fellowship in September 2021. He and his wife Kim have three daughters. Joye Marie, a graduate of Liberty University living in Arlington, VA with her husband John Allison. Elizabeth enjoys working with young children and has done so for the past few years in church preschools. Lydia is a high school student home schooled by Kim, as were Joye Marie and Elizabeth. Lydia enjoys playing basketball with State Line Rush.
While Kim stays busy homeschooling Lydia and managing the home front, she is an accomplished musician and student, as well as teacher of the Bible. One might find Kim at the piano on Sunday mornings or visiting with shut-ins during the week.
Pastor Ty completed his undergraduate work at Berea College in Kentucky. After working in the furniture industry for four years, he was called to preach in the United Methodist Church. He attended Duke Divinity School of Duke University where he earned his Master’s Degree. Ty has served churches in Virginia and Tennessee. After serving thirty years within the United Methodist Church, Ty retired, enabling the family to return to the Carroll County area to start RLF and to be closer to aging parents.
Ty and Kim are excited to be back "home" and look forward to many years of ministry here.
